(SportsNetwork.com) - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim are a tough enough assignment when Mike Trout is his usual productive self. But when the outfielder is on a red-hot streak, it gets even more difficult. Trout and the Angels will return to Progressive Field in Cleveland on Wednesday night for the third encounter of a four-game series with the Indians. You can watch the game on TSN and TSN GO at 7pm et/4pm pt. The Angels had managed just two runs per game in a 1-4 stretch prior to Tuesday, but ended the drought with 15 hits in a 9-3 victory. Trout homered twice and drove in four runs, and is now batting .410 with eight homers and 26 runs batted in over his last 22 games. "Im being patient and squaring up some balls," Trout said. "Im not anxious. Im just comfortable." Facing the comfortable Trout is Clevelands less comfortable Justin Masterson, who was dinged for five runs in two innings of a 10-3 loss at Boston on Friday. It was the second-shortest start of his big-league career and his 5.05 earned run average for the season is a career worst as welcomel. Prior to the loss to the Red Sox, hed compiled a 1.72 ERA in three starts. Last time out against the Angels, he allowed five runs in 7 1/3 innings of a 6-3 loss in April. Trout, incidentally, has four hits in eight career at-bats against him. Cleveland had won 10 straight at home before Tuesday. "Weve really played very welcomel for about the last month," the Tribes Carlos Santana said. "You want to win every time, but this was just one game." The Indians may again be without home run and RBI leader Michael Brantley, who missed Tuesday as a precaution after he was injured in Mondays game. Brantley passed a concussion test, but was shaky during pregame activities. The Angels start lefty C.J. Wilson, whos 1-3 in his last four starts while earning just one run of support in the three losses. He dropped a 4-3 decision to Atlanta in his last start on Friday. He was a 7-1 winner against Cleveland on April 30 and is 4-2 against the Indians in eight starts. Brantley is 1-for-14 against him in his career. On Tuesday, Kole Calhoun went 4-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and three runs scored, while Howie Kendrick also homered and drove in two for the Angels. Matt Shoemaker (4-1) lasted eight innings and gave up two runs on five hits with a walk and 10 strikeouts. Lonnie Chisenhall homered, while Santana and David Murphy each drove in a run for the Indians. Josh Tomlin (4-4) was beat up for six runs -- five earned -- on 11 hits over 5 1/3 innings.

Adam Pelech and Andre Burakovsky also scored for Erie (12-2-1) and Connor McDavid tacked on three assists. The Petes (7-6-1) recorded 13 of their 25 shots in the opening 20 minutes of the game. Peterboroughs Andrew DAgostini stopped 21 shots in a losing cause. --- BULLS 4 WOLVES 3 (SO) SUDBURY, Ont. -- Charlie Graham made 50 saves and Brendan Gaunce scored twice in regulation and the shootout winner as Belleville slipped past the Wolves. Jordan Subban scored once and set up two more for the Bulls (3-9-2) and Luke Cairns chipped in with two assists. Nicholas Baptiste, Mathew Campagnna and Nathan Pancel supplied the offence for Sudbury (5-3-5).dddddddddddd Troy Timpano stopped 41 shots for the Wolves. --- GENERALS 5 STEELHEADS 2 OSHAWA, Ont. -- Michael Dal Colle scored once and set up two others as the Generals defeated Mississauga. Aidan Wallace, Scott Laughton, Jacob Busch and Hunter Smith also scored for Oshawa (10-3-1) and Chris Carlisle had three assists. Jesse Barwell and Dylan Smoskowitz scored for the Steelheads (6-7-1). Daniel Altshuller made 24 saves for the Generals while Spencer Martin stopped 42 shots for Sudbury. --- WHALERS 5 STING 4 PLYMOUTH, Mich. -- Zach Lorentz scored the winner with 47 seconds remaining in the third period to put the Whalers ahead for good. Francesco Vilardi, Ryan Hartman, Connor Sills and Carter Sandlak all scored in the second period for Plymouth (7-9-0). Nikolay Goldobin had a goal and two assists for Sarnia (4-10-1) while Nickolas Latta, Davis Brown and Bryan Moore had a goal apiece. Alex Nedeljkovic stopped 29 shots for the Whalers. Taylor Dupuis turned aside 41 shots for the Wolves. --- SPIRIT 4 COLTS 1 SAGINAW, Mich. -- Jake Paterson made 26 saves as the Spirit toppled Barrie. Justin Kea and Kristoff Kontos each had a goal and an assist for Saginaw (6-6-2) while Dylan Sadowy and Justin Sefton added single goals. The Colts (6-7-1) held a 1-0 lead midway through the second period on a Tyson Fawcett goal. Mackenzie Blackwood stopped 43 shots for Barrie in a losing cause.
